The pleasure of playing with Poker professionals at a famous Poker Room PartyPoker just got more expensive: the company announced and introduced an extra charge for withdrawing cash.
After this, PartyPoker is going to make significantly more money as now every cash withdrawal will cost a player not only the standard EUR3, but also 3% of the total amount withdrawn. This charge is independent of the residency of the player and is the same throughout. Hence, the charges for those cashing-out large sums are hefty - for example, you would pay USD300 to withdraw USD10000.
The official representatives of the poker room did not even feel that it is necessary to warn their customers about this extra charge, and as a result it was met with a thunderstorm of negative feedback by the players. The nicest comment was 'daylight robbery,' The players were especially annoyed by the fixed percentage as a charge: a lot were ready to pay a fixed sum for withdrawals, however, they find a fixed charge outrageous.
It is worth mentioning that new PartyPoker policy will only affect those, who are using the most popular transfer systems, such as Skrill, WebMoney and Neteller. It is possible to save money by using a bank transfer (long, difficult and expensive process) or by paying with a Visa card.
