PokerStars, which is a popular online Poker room, appears offline: the company has just announced that it is planning to invest in the creation of the new Poker Club in the Atlantic City Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, the largest gambling capital of USA after Las Vegas.
The only obstacle for the plans is the lack of licensing that the company has not obtained yet. However, the representatives of the firm confirmed that the building works would begin immediately after getting a New Jersey license.
Eric Hollreiser, who is Head of Communications at Rational Group, the owner of PokerStars, confirmed the rumours, adding the following: 'We will make more details public after the plans are finalized.'
Resorts hotel chain and PokerStars plan to turn the Poker Club into something of a link for those, who like to play Poker online, but would also like to attend and participate in Poker tournaments live, and not just over the internet. PokerStar, which is the largest online Poker room at the moment, is ready to provide marketing support. Previously Rational Group planned to purchase one of the many casinos in New Jersey, but abandoned the plans for building their own Poker Club.
