Spain To Legalize Online Slots

Spain, a country which has one of the most strict laws prohibiting gaming, including online gambling, is set to legalize slot machines. The national commission Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego, that controls all gambling establishments, has decided to provide a legal status to the companies that offer slot machines. The new legislation might come into force in January 2015.

Each casino would have exactly thirty days to apply for a license, which would be granted to large establishments and online casinos, however, it would be more difficult for ordinary casinos to qualify.

In addition to fruit machines, Spain is also set to legalize online sports betting.
