Roulette has always been treated as a game of luck, but some of the experts have discovered algorithms that can help you have an edge over the others while playing.
Old Roulette Algorithm
The initial Roulette algorithms were based on the findings of Doyne Farmer who discovered secret methods to beat it. He used a computer to deal with the number crunching of the game. However, he did not allow his research to be published as he did not want to promote cheating.
Later on Michael Small and Chi Kong Tse developed their own set of algorithms to understand and crack the game code. It was generally concluded that it’s not necessary to follow the ball rolling on the wheel. The methods are based on the motion of the ball. The motion of the ball after it leaves the players hand is quite predictable. You can also know how many times the wheel has already spun and what part of the wheel will be hit by the ball. Small and Tse had used physics based on friction and predicted half of the wheel that the ball would hit 13 out of 22 times. This prediction is not a full-proof way to win in the game but there are 50% chances that you can make a profit if you follow this method. In fact many gamblers have won based on this roulette algorithm. Farmer’s finding was quite similar, but he used the air resistance instead of friction to find out the likely half of the wheel.
What should not be done
One thing about all the algorithm methods is that most of the findings are based on physics. Of course, some people have won the game with sheer luck, too. There are some things that you certainly should not try if you want to beat the house:
- Betting in progression - MMost players bet higher, so that they are able to cover the losses. However, by increasing the best size you are actually increasing your risk. The wheel has no memory, so it doesn’t matter if there were already 10 reds in a row.
- Expecting something is due - Even if you have got 10 or more reds, there are no odds involved of red or black being hit in the next spin. So do not expect the ball to spin in a particular way. There is no pattern involved. The ball can land on any colour and number.
- No repetition of spins - It’s quite possible that you might have observed some patterns in the few sample spins you try. However, it is not necessary that the same pattern will get repeated when you spin the ball next time.
House edge is another important factor to be considered. The European wheel has an edge of -2.7%. Hence it means that if you bet on a particular number you have probability of winning 1 in every 37 spins.
Is there any algorithm for online roulette?
If you are wondering how to calculate Roulette winning odds, then let us tell you there is no actual proof of to any of the discovered algorithms that will enable you to win the game. However, there are some methods that may increase your winning chances.
One of the methods is doubling the bet when you lose. If you have bet 1 on red and if black is hit, then you can double the next bet on red. There are also many online Roulette algorithms available, and you can use these to improve the chances of winning.
I have always been a crazy fan of this roulette game but always played the game without making any calculations. Never knew even this game has so much algorithm and mathematics involved.
